Whether you are building your skills towards a professional career in the performing arts, or you are simply wanting to have lots of fun with friends in an inclusive and inspiring environment, we offer a class that is perfect for you. The Nest offers a range of classes including a dedicated Music Theatre Academy as well as SMASH dance, acting classes, vocal lessons, and our adult community choir.

MUSIC THEATRE ACADEMY
Fridays 4.30 - 8.00pm (8-18yrs, includes 30min dinner break) Saturdays 9.30-12.30pm (6-18yrs) Build your skills in dance, voice and acting for musical theatre. Our resident tutors bring a wealth of teaching and performance experience to students. Special guests bring further knowledge in vocal technique, cabaret, audition technique and much more. Excursions to music theatre productions form part of the year along with a mid-year and end of year showcase. Three age groups approximately school years 2-4, 5-7 and yr 8+ |

VOCAL ACADEMY (7yrs +)
Tuesdays/Thursday 4:00 - 7:00pm In 2022 we welcomed an exciting new opportunity: Pelican Vocal Academy, a 30 min vocal lesson (individual or group class) with talented teachers Jemma Allen and Kylie Green. Bookings are now open for lessons in 2024. SMASH (7 -17 year olds)
Level 2 - Tuesdays 4.15 - 5.15 (12-17yrs) Level 1 - Tuesdays 5.15 - 6.00pm (7-11yrs) Learn new choreography each week. For students who want to dance without competitions or concerts in a fun, low-pressure environment. |

ACTING (7 -17 year olds)
Tuesdays 4.30 - 5.15pm (7 - 11yrs) Tuesdays 5.15 - 6.15pm (12-17yrs) Students will explore a wide range of theatrical styles, scene work and camera work. These include acting technique, vocal development, comic and dramatic timing, improvisation, exploration of voice and body integration (the actor's instrument) as well as stage and screen performance. |

SING!OZ - ADULT COMMUNITY CHOIR
Ages 18+ Tuesdays beginning 29 April 2025 7.00-9.00pm Cost per participant $330.00 per ten-week term Pelican Productions hosts the much sought after adult singing project Sing!OZ. Sing!OZ is for all those who have ever said "I wish there was something like this when I was young." Well now there is! Join us in 2025 as we explore harmony singing, vocal technique and a cracking repertoire. And here's the best part...NO AUDITION REQUIRED! You don't need to be an accomplished singer, all you need is a love to sing. If you love singing and want to get out for an evening of fun, get together a group of friends or be brave and come on your own and join us for Sing!OZ. |
