Take
to the stage in the school holidays with Music Theatre Camp
SA. This exciting summer day camp opens the
world of music theatre to young people. Music Theatre Camp
SA creates an environment where young people can participate in
music, acting, dance and stagecraft, intensive rehearsals and
workshops and form friendships with others of similar ages and
interests.
Children
can choose to audition or enrol for Music Theatre Camp and all children
are accepted to attend the camp. Auditions are both a
learning experience in a low pressure environment and used to
allocate lead and solo singing, dancing and acting roles.
The
camp is designed for young people aged 8-19 years who have an
interest in Musical Theatre and wish to further their skills and
to learn new ones.
Rehearsals
consist of two weeks of
guidance and leadership in a fun, safe and stimulating
environment. The summer camp culminating in four
spectacular performances in a professional theatre.
The
creative team for each camp consists of directors, musical
directors and choreographers who are working musicians, dancers,
actors or teachers all chosen for their technical knowledge,
personal enthusiasm and their unique ability to work with young
people.
